Lentil Curry Spread

    • 70 g red lentils (raw)
    • 40 g sunflower seeds
    • 40 g rapeseed oil
    • 10 g sugar
    • 15 g mango
    • Juice of half a lime
    • 1/2 tsp curry powder
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric
    • pinch of salt
    • pinch of pepper


    • Cook the red lentils in plenty of water for approx. 20 minutes. Then drain through a sieve.
    • Meanwhile, briefly toast the sunflower seeds in a pan without oil over a medium heat.
    • Place about two thirds of the cooked lentils in a blender with all the other ingredients and blend until smooth. If necessary, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to achieve the desired consistency.
    • Pour everything into a bowl and stir in the remaining lentils.
    • Season to taste with salt, curry powder and lime juice.
